At ACT we realize that we have been blessed in many ways and make a concerted effort to minimize our negative impact on the earth and help the community. Our GREEN initiatives are often closely related to our giving back to the community.

We list of few our efforts below, there are many other smaller ones and many we are working toward on a regular basis.

Some of our initiatives are listed below:

0. GREEN/Community – We recycle cardboard, paper, and metal products in an effort to reduce landfill waste.  The Chattanooga Community Kitchen participates with us in this effort which also provides income for their efforts and job training for their clients.
0. GREEN – We use motion activated switching for lighting in lesser used portions of the building to reduce electricity load.
0. GREEN – We use BIODIESEL in our diesel vehicles, which we have found to be more efficient and reduce the dependence on petroleum based products.
0. GREEN – Our technicians drivefuel efficient vehicles instead of large vans to reduce fossil fuel consumption.
0. GREEN – We have implemented use of a web based service module for remote technical assistance which improves response time, eliminates fossil fuel consumption, and is actually billed at a more favorable rate.
0. Community – We support local children's sporting teams to encourage positive values in our youth
0. GREEN – We constantly help clients reduce the volumes of paper that their businesses produce which minimizes landfill waste and reduces pollution from production of paper.
0. GREEN – Use a digital document management system in our own organization to minimize waste.
0. Community – We support the efforts of Siskin Children's Institute.  They are committed to helping children with disabilities in the Chattanooga area.
0. GREEN - We recycle and reuse all wooden and metal pallets that our equipment comes on.
0. GREEN – In the recent construction of our new facility, we invested in efficient options.
   0. We re-purposed an existing facility instead of building new
   0. We built interior walls with full insulation next to the existing exterior walls to improve efficiency
   0. We used high efficiency heat and air units
   0. We used insulated and tinted glass in all windows
   0. We added ceiling insulation to increase efficiency
   0. Installed water efficient bathroom fixtures
   0. Installed programmable thermostats to reduce electrical consumption
